"I paint because I am addicted to the process of watching a painting come to life. I am constantly surprised and delighted when a composition starts to make sense and takes on a life of its own.

I choose to paint with watercolor because I find the layered transparency of the medium calming and inviting, while consistently keeping me on my toes.

Subjects I gather the most inspiration from are generally ordinary buildings and cityscapes that may otherwise go overlooked. I find stark shadows exciting and it is my goal to capture these moments in time."
